A standard deck of cards is used in the game, which usually requires two to six players. Drawing and discarding cards to create legitimate sets & sequences is the goal. After a certain number of cards are dealt to each player, the remaining crummy gamards are arranged face down to create a draw pile. The goal is to create melds, which are combinations of three or more cards that can be either runs (consecutive ranks) or sets (same rank), by taking turns drawing cards from the draw pile or the discard pile. Players must carefully consider their moves as they advance through the game and monitor the tactics of their opponents. Until one player successfully melds every card in their deck and declares "Rummy," the game goes on.
